On the 16th of May, 10 cluster associations from Spain, France, Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania issued the Bucharest Declaration aimed at intensifying the cooperation in terms of innovation, internationalisation and cluster policy support with the final objective of setting up an European Cluster Association in the near future.

The Digital Innovation Hub Enhanced-Learning Programme (DIHELP), funded by the European Union under grant agreement Nº 00847927, is a mentoring and coaching programme that is supporting 30 Digital Innovation Hubs to develop and/or scale-up their activities for 9 months.

The Regional Competitiveness Observatory measures and compares the performance of European regions from different perspectives. Developed by Orkestra-The Basque Institute of Competitiveness, this tool aims to support policy-makers, academics and practitioners who are working to understand and improve territorial competitiveness and well-being.

The data in the Observatory is organised in several layers according to their role in regional competitiveness.

The Task Force on American Innovation (TFAI), is a coalition of leading companies, university associations, and professional societies that support sustained and strong federal investment in scientific research. They aspire to maintain the US leading status regarding knowledge production and innovation, and often release statements and reports on this topic.

The study conducted by Aalborg University, Denmark was commissioned by the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME) to examine the challenges and opportunities of digitalisation in tourism and analyses how these affect different stakeholder groups and how they could be addressed. The study gives as well a good overview of the needs of tourism SMEs in different parts of the EU in terms of digital skills and developing on-line services.

The CETA Market Access Programme was launched in January 2017 by the European Union to help EU businesses, particularly SMEs, gain comprehensive and sector-specific information about the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU in Canada, provisionally implemented since 21 September 2017.  

2020 PENTA-EURIPIDES2 Joint Call for Proposals

After the success of the 2019 joint initiative, two EUREKA-funded Clusters dedicated to collaborative industrial innovation – EURIPIDES² and PENTA, are joining forces again to launch a second 2020 joint call to submit R&D&I project proposals in all area of the Electronics Components and Systems (ECS) Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) supporting the development of the Digital Economy in Europe.
