Waste in the brewing industry can be created at numerous stages of the malting processing. Useful materials may be lost through poorly designed equipment and ingredient handling. Carlsberg, a top beer brewer, adopted several practices to reduce the volume and cost of malt waste at its UK processing plants.

Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) traveled to India from 4 to 8 December 2017 together with business representatives from the new federal states to promote the business location of eastern Germany. Representatives of the region Berlin-Brandenburg and Saxony as well as representatives of the East German top clusters Silicon Saxony and Cluster IT Central Germany are among the participants.

More than 150 participants from 17 countries, representing the European Commission, national and regional authorities, policy makers and cluster practitioners attended the ‘Clusters in Europe IV – How can we draw from the lessons of past to secure future success?’ international cluster conference between 30th November to 1st December in Budapest, organized by the Hungarian Ministry for National Economy for the fourth time.

33 Danish clusters and innovation networks dedicated one week from the 27th of November to the 1st of December 2017 to future solutions and to showing the way to the future innovative Denmark. The week was named Future Week Denmark.

During this one week, 33 Danish clusters and networks hosted 40 different cross disciplinary events all over Denmark. The week had everything from small inspirational meetings, to workshops, seminars and larger conferences.
