EU Clusters Talks: 30 years and counting: Clustering in the EU Single Market
12 July 2023 - 12 July 2023
In 2023, Europe’s single market turns 30! Since its creation in 1993, the single market has helped to make everyday life easier for people and businesses, fuelling jobs and growth across the EU. It is one of the EU’s greatest achievements. Today, the single market continues to be the driving force for the EU to address new challenges. It is the framework to tackle climate change, build up a clean and secure energy supply, and support the digitalisation of our economy. The single market is also home to cluster organisations, that have formed and thrived in the Member States and have created collaborative environments to foster innovation across countries and industrial ecosystems.
In this context, the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, DG GROW, organised the EU Clusters Talk “30 years and counting: Clustering in the EU Single Market” on 12 July 2023, 8:30 – 9:45 CET, to look at the achievements of the Single Market, speak about future challenges, and discuss the importance of the single market for collaboration between clusters and the role of clusters for the development of the single market.
Jakub Boratynski, Director, DG GROW, European Commission;
Hana Genorio, Deputy Head of Unit, DG GROW, European Commission;

This event is part of bi-weekly online meetings brought to the cluster community by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. They offer up-to-date insights into the latest industrial policies and clusters’ involvement, projects, and best practices, the latest ECCP news, and funding opportunities. The EU Clusters Talks are a space to exchange knowledge and to discuss cluster-relevant topics, which will change with every meeting.
