TECES represents a strategic and innovative partnership that aims to effectively impact the current path of energy usage by implementing new energy sources and as a result to decrease the negative impact on the environment. TECES innovation strategy is to build a strategic and sustainable partnership with its members and other international alliances with the aim to produce and distribute clean energy, decrease emissions and generate a sustainable energy-efficient ecosystem. Today TECES is a holder and coordinator of three key Slovenian strategic innovation clusters:
- TECES, ENERGY CLUSTER: established in 2001 TECES primary partnership consists of leading Slovenian companies and research organisations from electronic & electro-industry, energy sector, providers and users of green technologies and energy efficient solutions. Focus is on an energy efficient production, distribution, storage and conversion of energy, energy management (energy efficient electric devices & systems within smart grids, micro grids, smart and green buildings, smart communities…)
- SRIP SMART BUILDING AND HOME including wood chain (SRIP PSiDL): established in 2017 by three clusters. TECES has been a leader and a coordinator. SRIP is one of the nine key national long-term partnerships to support implementation of the Slovenian Smart Specialisation Strategy. Focus is on a smart, sustainable and nearly zero energy buildings, interconnected, user-friendly, advanced and healthy smart buildings of tomorrow (smart devices and systems, (energy) building management, digitalisation, digital tweens, BIM, energy flexibility ready smart building, user-adapted ambience, smart community connectivity, wood & advanced construction products)
- Slovenian Energy and Environment Partnership in Defence (SiEnE): in July 2020 established under the auspices of Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia (MoD) and TECES. TECES has been a leader and a coordinator. It aims to address energy and environmental challenges in defence. The main objective is to strengthen Slovenian partners’ involvement in the defence programmes of the MoD, European Defence Agency (EDA) and NATO, as well as in the global defence value chain.
TECES is focuses to build stronger and more sustainable international collaborations with similar or complementary initiatives in order to accelerate internationalization of TECES members or being involved in the knowledge exchange and transfer between clusters and other organizations. TECES is being a proactive partner in several partnerships, European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), TCI Network, JRC S3 Smart Specialization Platforms.
