European Cluster Partnership of the Year
Cluster organisations play a key role in boosting economic growth and competitiveness in Europe.
There are nearly 1,000 cluster organisations registered at the European Cluster Collaboration Platform.
Many of them took the opportunity to work closely with each other in the European Strategic Cluster Partnerships (ESCP-4i, ESCP-S3, ESCP-4x and Innosup-1), which were launched by the European Commission as an effective means of supporting cross-border collaboration for the benefit of SMEs, with the ultimate goal of boosting economic growth and competitiveness in Europe .
Strategic partnerships of cluster organisations are particularly important for connecting ecosystems and putting a partnering process in place for strategic collaboration through which enterprises, notably SMEs, together with other innovation actors, can be supported in finding partners with complementary competences and accessing cross-European and global value chains.
This European Cluster Partnership Award provides an opportunity for European Cluster Partnerships to showcase their efforts and for the European Union to reward the most successful collaboration between clusters across Europe. This year’s award has been designed to focus on communication activities of the partnership.
The European Cluster Partnership of the Year 2020 will be announced at the European Cluster Conference, which is taking place virtually on 10-11 November 2020. An expert jury will designate the winning partnership and the award will be handed over during the cluster award ceremony on the 11 November.
