From January 29th to 31st, 2024, Pôle SCS joined the EXCITE consortium and one representative from PEER Group GmbH (Silicon Saxony member) on a three-day business mission to explore the Mazovian region around Warsaw and discover the dynamic economy and innovation ecosystem of the region, focusing on key themes like Green Energy, Smart Grid, Smart City initiatives, Business System Solutions, Industry 4.0, Fin-tech, Med-tech, Aerospace, GIS, Environmental Protection, and Agriculture.

Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICT), a key national cluster, played a pivotal role during the mission hosting the EXCITE delegation. The three-day agenda featured a mix of informative sessions, company visits, and networking opportunities.

Start-up Showcase & Site Visits

A standout feature of the agenda was the engaging presentations from a diverse array of Polish start-ups, members of MCICT. The companies Viva Drive, Solhotair Technology, Arvena, Mywallet, Masta Solutions, and GLP took the stage, showcasing their expertise in fields ranging from smart mobility solutions to cutting-edge technologies in renewable energy.

The mission's agenda also included site visits to prominent institutions. The visit to CEZAMAT's clean room not only provided a unique perspective on the technological advancements driving the region's innovation but also highlighted Mazovia's pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable energy solutions on a broader scale. The participants also delved into cutting-edge technologies of the energy sector during the visit of the combined heat and power plant presented by ECN in Sokołów Podlaski. Another noteworthy visit was made to the Mazovian Energy Agency, offering participants insights into the region's commitment to environmental protection and sustainable energy solutions.

Insights into Mazovia's Economic Diversity

The three-day business mission to the Mazovian region proved to be a comprehensive exploration of innovation and economic potential. Hosted by the Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICT), the mission successfully blended informative sessions, engaging start-up presentations, and enlightening site visits. It provided participants with valuable insights, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Thank you to our host MCICT and its members for their enlightening contributions!

It was the last mission and ClusterXchange of the project EXCITE that finished its activities on 31st January 2024.
