From 11 to 13 October 2023, the Silicon Alps Business Mission brought together a diverse group of professionals from various fields, including microelectronics, sensor technology, cybersecurity, and power electronics. The goal was to encourage collaboration and drive innovation in electronic-based systems. Over three dynamic days, participants from Germany, France, Finland, and other regions shared knowledge, explored potential partnerships, and engaged in cutting-edge research and development. EXCITE supported their travel and helped to organize the ClusterXchanges.

The mission included visits to leading companies and research facilities like Lam Research GmbH, Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, NXP Semiconductors Austria GmbH & Co KG, and SVI Austria GmbH as well as the participation in EBSCON 2023 – a prominent regional event on electronic based systems. These visits sparked discussions on new technologies, the transition to digital and green technologies, and the importance of cooperation across different industries to address future challenges.

This initiative not only highlighted the thriving technological environment of the Silicon Alps Region but also emphasized the significance of cross-border collaboration in advancing Europe's global ambitions in the digital and technological landscape. The business mission serves as a testament to the region's commitment to innovation, a sustainable future, and maintaining competitiveness in the ever-evolving tech industry.

The business mission to Silicon Alps facilitated an enriching exchange of knowledge, ideas, and innovation, strengthening the ties between European SMEs and cluster organizations.

Thank you to Silicon Alps for the organisation and hospitality!
