Fostering Innovation: EXCITE Backs Silicon Saxony's Involvement in Silicon Alps Business Mission 2023
Six Silicon Saxony members played an integral role in the recent Silicon Alps Business Mission held from 11 to 13 October 2023. The mission united professionals from diverse fields, including microelectronics, sensor technology, cybersecurity, and power electronics, all with the shared goal of enhancing collaboration and driving innovation in electronic-based systems. Over three dynamic days, participants from various regions, including Germany, France, and Finland, came together to exchange knowledge, explore potential partnerships, and engage in cutting-edge research and development activities.
EXCITE, our ongoing project, provided invaluable support by facilitating the travel of these professionals and aiding in the organization of ClusterXchanges. The mission featured visits to industry leaders such as Lam Research GmbH, Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, NXP Semiconductors Austria GmbH & Co KG, and SVI Austria GmbH, and also included participation in EBSCON 2023, a prominent regional event focusing on electronic-based systems.
During these visits and discussions, participants delved into emerging technologies, the ongoing transition to digital and green solutions, and the growing importance of cross-industry collaboration to address future challenges effectively. This initiative not only spotlighted the robust technological ecosystem of the Silicon Alps Region but also underlined the critical role of cross-border collaboration in advancing Europe's global aspirations in the digital and technological landscape.
The business mission stands as a testament to the region's commitment to fostering innovation, promoting a sustainable future, and maintaining a competitive edge in the ever-evolving tech industry. It facilitated a rich exchange of knowledge, ideas, and innovation, strengthening the connections between European SMEs and cluster organizations.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Silicon Alps for their exceptional organization and warm hospitality, which made this mission a resounding success!
