Exploring Innovation in Mazovia with EXCITE

From January 29th to 31st, 2024, the EXCITE consortium including one representative from PEER Group GmbH embarked on a three-day business mission to explore the Mazovian region around Warsaw. The mission aimed to uncover the dynamic economy of Mazovia focussing on key topics such as Green Energy, Smart Grid, Smart City initiatives, Business System Solutions, Industry 4.0, Fin-tech, Med-tech, Aerospace, GIS, Environmental Protection, and Agriculture.

Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICT), serving as a key national cluster, played a pivotal role during the mission hosting the EXCITE delegation. The three-day agenda featured a mix of informative sessions, company visits, and networking opportunities. Highlights included start-up presentations at the MCICT office, site visits to CEZAMAT, Energy Clusters Network (ECN) and the Mazovian Energy Agency as well as discussions at various locations, providing a holistic view of Mazovia's innovation ecosystem.

Diverse Start-up Showcase & Site Visits to CEZAMAT, ENC, and the Mazovian Energy Agency

A standout feature of the agenda was the engaging presentations from a diverse array of Polish start-ups affiliated with MCICT. Visionary companies such as Viva Drive, Solhotair Technology, Arvena, Mywallet, Masta Solutions, and GLP took the stage, showcasing their expertise in fields ranging from smart mobility solutions to cutting-edge technologies in renewable energy.

The mission's agenda also included site visits to prominent institutions. The visit to CEZAMAT's clean room not only provided a unique perspective on the technological advancements driving the region's innovation but also highlighted Mazovia's pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable energy solutions on a broader scale.

Additionally, participants explored the combined heat and power plant presented by ECN in Sokołów Podlaski, delving into cutting-edge technologies in the energy sector. The cluster is a leading player in the energy industry, contributing to Mazovia's position as a center for innovative energy solutions.

Another noteworthy visit was made to the Mazovian Energy Agency, offering participants insights into the region's commitment to environmental protection and sustainable energy solutions.

Insights into Mazovia's Economic Diversity

The three-day business mission to the Mazovian region proved to be a comprehensive exploration of innovation and economic potential. Hosted by the Mazovia Cluster ICT (MCICT), the mission successfully blended informative sessions, engaging start-up presentations, and enlightening site visits. It provided participants with valuable insights, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. Thank you so much to our host MCICT and its members for their enlightening contributions!

It was the last mission and ClusterXchange of the project EXCITE that finished its activities on 31st January 2024.

EXCITE aims to strengthen cluster management and facilitate exchange and strategic partnership between cluster staff and cluster members by using the ClusterXchange system.
