  • Two companies and two Spanish clusters are collaborating on a project to build a search platform for the agri-food and packaging sectors.
  • Staying up to date is one of the challenges of companies, reliable, accurate and timely information is needed to be able to make the right decisions.

IntelFoodPack 2.0 is conceived as a tool that, thanks to the incorporation of data collection, classification and analysis techniques, provides truthful and up-to-date information from the agri-food and packaging value chain to all departments of the user company.

The use of competitive intelligence tools provides great advantages. Its implementation allows, mainly, to greatly reduce the time spent searching for and analyzing information, focusing operations on processes with greater added value.

IntelFoodPack 2.0 will integrate "Data Mining" and "Crawling Web" techniques for the automatic extraction of information from open digital sources and databases. It will also use Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for the automatic classification of news and the application of other Artificial Intelligence neural networks for the early detection of trends in the agri-food and packaging sectors.

These techniques are integrated into a single platform that allows global management of all information collection and processing processes.

Clúster FOOD+i, together with the PACKAGING CLUSTER, leads a transformative project that will facilitate access to information from both sectors for its member companies. In addition, Idiogram, a technology-based company, and the technical consultancy specializing in packaging, RepaQ, are also participating. The project budget amounts to €80,300 and has received a grant of €48,181.

The participating clusters seek, thanks to the IntelFoodPack 2.0 project, to increase the added value of their associates, thanks to the incorporation of a competitive intelligence system in strategic decision-making.IntelFoodPack 2.0 is a project financed by MINCOTUR within the support program for Innovative Business Groups (AEI).
