The cluster of advanced textile materials in Catalonia, the AEI Tèxtils, together with the Packaging Cluster, have completed the first action of the TEXSOSPACK project, consisting of the development of a state of the art of good practices in sustainable packaging.

The document prepared identifies challenges, trends and national and international sectoral experiences in the form of practical cases that can be a reference for the advanced textile materials sector.

Both entities will present the study on March 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., in virtual format. Registrations can be made through the link. The next activity of the project will be the collection of information from companies in the advanced textile materials sector to detect the main common challenges that, for the month of July, will be exposed in a textile/packaging intercluster session with the aim of generating potential solutions.

TEXSOSPACK aims to promote the implementation of sustainable packaging in the advanced textile materials sector, helping to promote and improve coordination and communication between the packaging and advanced textile materials sectors, to establish and strengthen this key alliance in the field of waste prevention, extend the useful life cycle of the materials used and help decarbonize the productive economy.

TEXSOSPACK will facilitate the green transition in the advanced textile materials and packaging sectors in Catalonia, both made up mostly of SMEs, generating new business opportunities to increase their competitiveness, based on close collaboration and the reduction of the environmental impact of their services. and products.
