Description
The Alpine Policy Forum is jointly organised by the AlpLinkBioEco and ARDIA-Net Alpine Space projects, along with the Alpine Region Preparatory Action Fund (ARPAF) Smart SMEs project. It is part of Interreg Europe. The aim of the Forum is to develop a masterplan for a common policy strategy.
The Forum is hosting a webinar on 16 February (09:45 CET) to facilitate an exchange of experiences and the identification of common positions for the Alpine macro-region in relation to the circular biobased economy, as well as the digitalisation of SMEs, which play a major role in the optimisation of natural fibre value chains.
The event will cover the following:
- International dialogue to scale up the bioeconomy efforts to become cross-regional, while also respecting regional priorities in terms of biobased industries.
- Approaches and tools to activate broken biobased value chains in unforeseen circumstances, such as a pandemic.
- Digitalisation of SMEs as a solution for boosting the development of biobased industries. How can policymakers support and promote the digital transformation of SMEs in this sector?
The target groups for this event are:
- Policymakers (local, regional, and national level) dealing with biobased sectors (e.g. agriculture, wood, chemistry, food, pharma packaging and the digitalisation of SMEs).
- Cluster agencies and business associations of biobased industries.
- Business support organisations.
- Industry and commerce chambers that support companies in the biobased industries, as well as in the digitalisation processes.
- Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) and other providers of knowledge.
A preliminary agenda can be found here, and all interested parties should register by 10 February via boyarintseva [at] bio-pro.de.
