'Life is Science' is an online event that aims to bring thousands of interested people (from kindergarten children to pensioners) closer to scientific research in the field of life sciences with a focus on renewable resources, food and health.
Activities during the day will address questions such as where do we encounter science in everyday life? What does the work of researchers look like? And how does a new discovery become a new product or a new process?
We have all been touched by biotechnology in one way or another. The event will reveal where science and our everyday lives meet through a wide range of activities including science shows, virtual lab tours, workshops for school pupils and the general public, online games and quizzes, science speeches, DIY experiments to do at home, and much more. Content will be mainly in German with some available in English.
Depending on COVID-19 restrictions selected live sessions for schools will also be offered at the bisy company site in Gleisdorf for which registration will be required.
