Training-programme-SCALE-UP-Session-2

Description

The European project SCALE-UP, of which CTA is a partner, has opened its free online training programme to boost bioeconomy knowledge in society. With the aim of promoting the sustainable use of resources and highlighting their importance in the regional economy, this educational programme will cover seven key topics related to the bioeconomy over 21 webinars.

Each of the chosen topics will be covered in three events, which will feature expert presentations, time for discussion and networking opportunities for participants. The sessions will be conducted in English, but will use an AI-based online translator to translate the content in different languages. The first session will start on 7 September 2023, and the programme will run until the end of 2024.

On this occasion, topic 2 is being adressed: Integrating primary producers into bio-based value chains

The integration of primary producers is crucial for the success of the bioeconomy. However, the existing lack of information and education, as well as the lack of a network to ensure their participation in the value chain needs to be addressed. This training will work to address these issues.

- 21 November. 'Value chains and markets: linking producers and stakeholders' Session 2 will discuss the vital connections between producers and stakeholders in the bioeconomy value chain, providing ideas on how we can foster collaboration and innovation.

- 7 December. 'Innovations and challenges in production and mobilisation of biomass'. The third session will focus on innovative approaches and challenges associated with biomass production and mobilisation.
