The Technology Centre programme is a joint initiative between Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland. It allows Irish companies and multinationals to work together on market focused strategic R&D projects in collaboration with research institutions. Its aim is to provide companies with the research expertise of Irish Higher Education Institutes with the aim of generating innovative technologies leading to job creation is of the utmost importance. The main success factor is that technology centres are industry led collaborations with Higher Education Institutes, resourced by highly qualified researchers associated with research institutions who are empowered to undertake market focused strategic R&D for the benefit of industry.
