Description of measure

In 2017, Albania introduced the Law on the Establishment and Functioning of Technology and Economic Development Areas (TEDA) in order to attract foreign direct investments and promote economic development. A number of TEDAs have been identified across the country and are in planning/development phase. TEDA residents benefit from tax cuts, deductible expenses and zero-level export supplies, which is expected to promote innovation and internationalisation, notably through the settlement of clusters and other innovation actors.
