Funding is provided for air conditioning systems in buildings used for operational purposes, and systems providing process cooling.

This includes: adsorption and absorption chillers driven by renewable energy sources or from industrial waste heat or district heating; free cooling systems (e.g. based on groundwater, river water or well water); process refrigeration plants using alternative refrigerants (e.g. CO2, ammonia, propane,...), as well as refrigerants with a GWP up to 150. The latter also covers the replacement or optimisation of process refrigeration systems using refrigerants with a GWP between 150 and 1 500.
