Online and real-time leak detection

  • Early leak detection saves up to 200 m3 of water
  • Leads to € 4 000 in annual cost savings

Atlantis Seafood is an Irish producer of a variety of seafood products. Demand for water during its production process is high. Management was keen to explore ways to reduce that consumption and, after some consultation and research, the company realised that water leaks and wastage was a priority area.

To tackle water leaks, Atlantis set up an online water monitoring system which is linked to the council metre and provides live readings. The system allows water use to be monitored remotely.

Key benefits

Apart from the environmental benefit of reduced fresh water use, early leak detection saved Atlantis Seafoods € 4 000 annually, reducing water consumption by a staggering 200 m3 annually.

At this rate, the company is set to recuperate the initial € 2 000 investment within 2 years.
