Go with the (low) flow water fixture!

Low-flow water fixtures are a range of easily implementable technologies that help you save water and money by allowing the user to control how much water is consumed.

They use a high-pressure technique to produce a strong and consistent flow that actually uses less water than inefficient traditional fixtures. These clever fittings can be applied to sinks, showers, and toilets.

For instance, while normal taps have a usual consumption of 15 to 18 litres per minute, low-flow models can use as little as 2 litres per minute.

Tip

Check the pressure of your water system to optimise the fitting and choice of low-flow water fixtures (e.g. gravity systems, combi-boilers, unvented water cylinder).
