Description of measure

Lauched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science, the aim of Innovation Networks Denmark is to create platforms for companies and research institutes to exchange knowledge and enter into collaboration project. The Innovation Networks have different set of skills and activities which include: matchmaking and creating collaboration between companies, researchers, the public sector, technological service providers and other partners; initiating specific development projects within the relevant professional field of the network; arranging conferences, seminars and workshops on themes of interest for the members of the network; helping with fundraising and with the preparation of applications for funding; publishing newsletters and other types of information about trends, research results, etc.; hosting internationalisation initiatives, e.g. study trips. Total grant is about EUR 10 millions per year allocated under a 4 year grants with possibilities of extensions and about EUR 0.5-0.7 millions per network per year. This measure does not directly target clusters but has the potential to facilitate the growth and collaboration among organisations that are cluster members (SMEs, research institutes and other innovation actors).
