ESECA third international workshop, hosted by the Cluster Leistungselektronik, took place from 6 to 8th December in Augsburg, Germany.

This exciting mission featured a workshop organized by ESECA consortium and the participation to the OFF-GRID EXPO+Conference of the Alliance for Rural Electrification. Here are some highlights of this mission:

- On Thursday 7th, ESECA co-organized with the Alliance for Rural Electrification, Bayern Innovativ and the European project AEWEN a productive workshop. After a presentation of ESECA partners and project by the Basque Energy Cluster, some of our European companies shared their experience on their participation to ESECA missions to Africa and how this helped them develop their activities on the continent. As a bonus, David Wekesa, senior lecturer, presented opportunities for collaboration in Kenya with the Multimedia University. The third business mission to Tanzania (planned for june 2024) was then introduced by LE2C and MetaIndustry4. The day concluded on a roundtable focusing on some examples of international networks and projects supporting companies in Africa. The speakers of the Basque Energy Cluster, MEDEE, RES4Africa and the Alliance for Rural Electrification encouraged the participants to get involved into these programmes!

- On Friday 8th, the participants listened to insightful keynotes on off-grid solar, wind and hydropower systems and sef-sufficient power supply at the OFF-GRID EXPO + CONFERENCE. The programm also included networking on the exhibitors booths.

With as always some social gatherings to create strong bonds between European partners!
