More than 100 leaders of the Galician Automotive and Mobility Sector met in Vigo for a working session of the new strategic plan for the sector, called "Competitiveness Plan for the Galician Automotive and Mobility Ecosystem. Vision 2030 (PCAM)".

In this working session, the companies prioritised the projects that will help the sector to remain competitive in a scenario as complex as the current one. These projects emerged from the first working session, which was held at the end of October with a large participation by the companies of the Cluster, who were the ones who proposed the plans and lines of action to be promoted collaboratively from 2024 onwards. The new PCAM 2030 will integrate the contributions of all the links in the value chain: SMEs, large component companies, manufacturers, service and technological solutions companies, start-ups, new mobility companies, etc. The new projects will be framed within the areas that have been identified as key for the coming years: innovation, people, mobility, impact of electrification, reactivation of the sector, industrial competitiveness, supply chain, sustainability and new regulations and energy.

This session was closed by Ignacio Bueno, director of Stellantis Vigo and vice-president of CEAGA; Patricia Moreira, president of the Cluster; and Covadonga Toca, director of Igape (Galician Institute for Economic Promotion). In her speech, the president of CEAGA, Patricia Moreira, highlighted that "it is a reality that the sector has changed, highlighting the challenge posed by the new mobility, led by the smart, electric, connected and shared vehicle. Therefore, we had to reflect, all together, and establish a sectorial roadmap to strengthen an industrial system that is crucial for Galicia".

Ignacio Bueno, director of Stellantis Vigo, thanked all the participants for their dedication and involvement. "Our structure as an industrial sector and the sectorial cooperation that we develop as a cluster constitute a lever of competitiveness of enormous consistency", he said.
