Cables are real pain points in a satellite or launchers. Oledcomm has developed a LiFi communication board for intra-satellite or intra-launcher cable replacement called SatelLife. The LiFi replaces either a Bus data or a Payload-OBC cable that allows it to gain weight and simplify the design. While the electronic design is already getting first flight heritage, the project's goal is to use the expertise of Madrid Space to optimise the current design to reduce weight by up to 30% and better control the thermal distribution by using 3D printing techniques for space applications.
