EEN is organizing a virtual information session, jointly with EUIPO, to inform about the novelties regarding SME FUND 2023 and the new services for patents and plant varieties, available from 26 April 2023 and Clusters’ members are welcome to join.
The Ideas Powered for business SME Fund is a grant scheme designed to help EU small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) protect their intellectual property (IP) rights. The SME Fund is a European Commission initiative implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and will run from 23 January 2023 to 8 December 2023.
It's easy to apply, and it offers a good opportunity to all the European SMEs that are protecting their innovations internationally.
The new services of the 2023 SME Fund will be the following:
- reimburse 75% of the fees charged by national intellectual property offices;
- reimburse 75% of prior art searches charges by national intellectual property offices;
- reimburse 75% of the fees charged by the European Patent Office for the registration of European patents;
- 50% of the application fees charged by the Community Plant Variety Office for the registration of new plant varieties
