Description

Air quality has improved across the European Union over the past decades. However, air pollution continues to cause respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, and it still is the number one environmental cause of premature deaths in Europe.

In this context, the European Commission is organising the third EU Clean Air Forum, in close collaboration with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of the Kingdom of Spain.

The event will bring together European decision-makers, stakeholders and experts in a one and a half-day conference to reflect on the development of European, national and local air policies, projects and programmes.

The forum will focus on five themes:

  1. Zero pollution: air quality and health

  1. Engagement with cities and citizens

  1. Air pollution, climate change and biodiversity

  1. Access to justice for clean air

  1. Air quality and the revision of EU rules on ambient air quality

The forum will take place on 18 and 19 November 2021.

You can register until 12 November.
