Improve Digital Capability supported by Hi-Tech-TEX!

Hi-Tech-TEX - New sustainable and cross-sectorial value chains towards excellence in Hi-Tech Textiles to foster the uptake of innovation and increasing competitiveness.

Hi-Tech-TEX main objective is to strengthen cluster management excellence and facilitate exchanges and strategic partnering between clusters and specialized eco-systems and cities across Europe, including through implementation of the ClusterXchange mobility scheme.

Hi-Tech-TEX partnership integrates Portuguese Textile Cluster/ CITEVE (the coordinator), from Portugal, AEi TÈXTILS, from Spain; ATEVAL, from Spain; NTT, from Italy; DCC TTC, from Turkey; CLUTEX, from Czech Republic.

ClusterXChange at Digital Capability Centre - Aachen

Many companies are facing a major challenge: to use Industry 4.0 solutions meaningfully. To prepare companies for the digital future, the Digital Capability Center in Aachen opened in 2017, as a Model Factory 4.0. The Digital Capability Center - Aachen is providing support for developing digital solutions for production and provide expertise for implementation in the companies. Digital Capability Center offers tailored formats for managers and technicians from various industries.

Digital Capability Center provides basic knowledge on the topic of Industry 4.0, condition monitoring, sensor technology and automation, advise on decision-making and accompany implementation projects.

Based on the needs previously identified, the Hi-Tech-TEX partnership is organising a programme of CXC to support cluster members on monitoring production processes, processing machine data and intelligent assistance systems. The Digital Capability Center in Aachen bring digital solutions by using a real model factory 4.0.

CXC at 6 to 8.11.2023 in DCC Aachen

Hi-Tech-TEX can provide financial support to SMEs through to their participation in a relevant CXC between 6 to 8 November 2023 in Aachen – Germany. The project will cover travel costs, up to 415€ for ClusterXchange.

Detailed program for each day:

06.11.2023 - Deficits in production and future vision of digital manufacturing

  • 08:00 - 08:30: Arrival & networking coffee (meeting of participants to welcome them and warm-up of CxC activities)
  • 08:30 - 10:00: Deficit analysis and group discussions (training session by Andres Rueda)
  • 10:00 - 10:15: Coffee break (networking activities between the participants during the coffee break)
  • 10:15 - 10:45: Performance dialogue and KPIs (training session by Andres Rueda)
  • 10:45 - 12:00: Future walk in digital production (training session by Andres Rueda)
  • 12:00 - 12:30: Networking lunch (lunch with networking activities for all the participants)
  • 12:30 - 13:30: Value Stream Mapping (training session by Andres Rueda)
  • 13:30 - 14:30: Data acquisition and evaluation of performance (training session by Andes Rueda)
  • 14:30 - 14:45: Coffee break (networking activities between the participants during the coffee break)
  • 14:45 - 16:00: Retrofitting of textile manufacturing machines (training session by Andres Rueda)

07.11.2023 - Artificial Intelligence and textile lab tour

  • 08:00 - 08:30: Arrival & networking coffee (meeting of participants to welcome them and warm-up of CxC activities)
  • 08:30 - 10:00: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence (AI) (training session by Bharath Kumar)
  • 10:00 - 10:15: Coffee break (networking acitivities between the participants during the coffee break)
  • 10:15 - 11:00: AI for image processing (quality inspection) (training session by Bharath Kumar)
  • 11:00 - 12:00: AI as a process optimization tool (training session by Bharath Kumar)
  • 12:00 - 12:30: Networking lunch (lunch with networking activities for all the participants)
  • 12:30 - 13:00: Transfer to ITA RWTH Aachen University (travel of participants to ITA RWTH Aachen University)
  • 13:00 - 15:30: Introduction of ITA and guided tour in smaller groups by Gesine Köppe (participants will have the opportunity to meet and visit ITA)
  • 15:30 - 16:00: Networking and group discussion by Gesine Köppe (networking activities between the participants)

08.11.2023 - Potentials and future vision of digital manufacturing

  • 08:00 - 08:30: Arrival & networking coffee (meeting of participants to welcome them and warm-up of CxC activities)
  • 08:30 - 10:00: Fundamentals of automation and robotics (training session by Andres Rueda)
  • 10:00 - 10:15: Coffee break (networking activities between the participants during the coffee break)
  • 10:15 - 11:15: Interactive robot programming session (Interactive training session by Andres Rueda)
  • 11:15 - 12:00: AI in machine vision (fundamentals + exercise) (training session by by Andres Rueda)
  • 12:00 - 12:30: Networking lunch (lunch with networking activities for all the participants)
  • 12:30 - 13:30: Change management & Work 4.0 (training session by Gesine Köppe)
  • 13:30 - 14:30:  Mixed reality experience and assisted manufacturing (training session by Gesine Köppe)
  • 14:30 - 14:45: Coffee break (networking activities between the participants during the coffee break)
  • 14:45 - 16:00: Outlook and next steps, takeaways from the sessions (training session by Gesine Köppe)
