C-Voucher, EU-funded supporting SME s on their way towards the circular economy, will be presenting the results of its Innovative Circular Solutions and Business Cases in the fields of Manufacturing, Agrofood, Textile, Maritime and Health during the Circular Economy Powwow Online Event, next 25-26 May 2021.
Many organizations feel the pressure to reconcile circularity, (for example: narrowing, slowing, and closing resource flows) and create commercial value - but how to do this? This is the purpose of C-Voucher, a 3-year initiative that has supported companies to transition from linear value chains (cradle to waste) towards circular models (cradle to cradle®) by generating new cross-sectoral and cross-border value chains (in Agro-Food, Health, Sea Industries, Textile & Manufacturing) with a circular economy approach, leveraging in the use of enabling Technologies (Digital, Hybrid & Engineering) and in the design thinking methodology.
This free online 2-day event will hold various sessions, such as a Pitch Competition for the 15 finalists of the C-Voucher Prizes. “C-Voucher’s financial support has been fundamental in enabling us to develop our digital collaborative solution using 3D technology, likewise, thanks to the business mentoring we have been able to develop our business model and identify financial resources", says founder of Katty Fashion, and “C-Voucher experts helped us understand the main challenges that the Pyxo model faced, to overcome them. Thanks to the support, we are also restructuring our investment in R&D to develop our circular economy model", says the founder of Pyxo, both companies that have participated in the C-Voucher initiative.
It will also hold Keynotes, such as “Policies to shift from a linear to the circular material economy” by Pr. Paul Ekins, Professor of Resources and Environmental Policy at UCL, and “Perspectives on Circular Economy within the upcoming EU strategies”, by Marek Przeor, Policy Officer in charge of INNOSUP-1 projects in DG GROW, Networking sessions and various Circular Economy Panel Discussions with key opinion leaders in the industry.
