The Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi) is Africa’s oldest tech incubator. The main objective of CiTi is to promote the inclusive growth of the digital economy. CiTi works at the intersection of business, government, academia and society to positively shape the future of the economy and society with the use of innovation and technology. The concrete activities of CiTi are: Entrepreneurial development, support and incubation. Digital job readiness and skills development, training young people to enter the digital economy. Open innovation clusters, picking industries of the future and supporting and stimulating growth. By forming Open Innovation Clusters, CiTi is able to convene government, business, society and entrepreneurs to increase the productivity of companies in the cluster, driving innovation and stimulating new businesses in the field.
