Description of measure

The Government of the Brussels-Capital Region adopted the Brussels Regional programme for a Circular Economy 2016 – 2020 (BRPCE), with a budget of EUR 12.8 million for the year 2016. The BRPCE is an integrated strategy involving 111 measures aimed at fostering circular patterns at regional level. The main objectives of the BPRCE are to transform environmental objectives into economic opportunities, to anchor economic activities within Brussels’ borders, maximising resource circularity and boosting entrepreneurship, and to create new employment opportunities. The programme offers opportunities in the field of environment and resource management, and contributes to the development of new sectors providing jobs. As a result, the circlemade.brussels cluster was created in 2018 with the objective to become the Brussels circular economy innovation network.
