Webinar on "Climate neutrality and energy efficiency of ICT companies" brought together representatives of business and academia from Burgas in the second online event within the project "Initiative for greener ICT" / ICT Greening Up Initiative. It is funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (Norway Grants) 2014-2021, Business Development, Innovation and Small and Medium Enterprises program.

The project is implemented by ICT Cluster - Burgas in partnership with ProspectiM Association.

Silvia Bakardzhieva, who is a consultant on the implementation of the law of the European Union on climate, environment and food safety, introduced the audience to the news on several main topics:

• Climate neutrality - Reducing the carbon footprint of the ICT sector with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises;
• Measurement and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions;

Eng. Dimitar Stoyanov, who is a member of the Board of the National Committee of Bulgaria in the World Energy Council, presented interesting details on the topic: ICT, energy efficiency and sustainable energy transition. 

The Vice-Rector of the University "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" Prof. Dr. Sotir Sotirov talked about artificial intelligence from a different perspective: Artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship for sustainable and innovative solutions.

Participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves in detail with the upcoming business financing opportunities. 

Petko Georgiev, chairman of "ICT Cluster Burgas" presented the upcoming events of the ICT Greening Up Initiative project and invited the participants to join the Motivational Event of the initiative. It is included in the program of RemoTion fest Burgas, with free entry. The Green Initiative of the Cluster will take place on June 24, 2023 in the "Foros" Hall of the Congress Center - Burgas from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

The webinar was moderated by Atanaska Nikolova, a member of the Board of Directors of the "ProspectiM" Association, who is personally involved in the topic of the green transformation of society and the implementation of a fair transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient economy.
