Are you a cluster or SME in data, robotics or Artificial Intelligence? 

The European Commission’s ‘HORIZON-IA HORIZON Innovation Actions’ programme has an open call for innovative AI, data and robotics solutions to minimise waste. 

Proposals are expected to integrate and optimise AI, data and robotics solutions to demonstrate how they can directly contribute to the Green Deal.  

Proposals can involve either robotics-only solutions (demonstrating robotics solutions in harsh environments), or a mix of robotics and non-robotics components (waste management). 

Two types of proposals are expected: 

• Focused projects (EU contribution of around €3 million), involving user industry and technology providers 

• Larger projects (EU contribution of around €5 million), where several of companies in a given application sector will identify common challenges 

Competitive calls will be open to all types of companies, but only SMEs and start-ups will receive financial support to third parties. As well as financial support, SMEs and start-ups will receive support from business experts to maximise their business opportunities.
