Trade missions to Georgia and Uzbekistan

Visiting Ambassador of Latvia in Georgia

Within the project Aumenta, Latvian IT Cluster and delegation of its member companies on April went on two trade missions to Georgia and Uzbekistan.
The aim of the trade missions is to attract the attention of new cooperation partners and to develop various cooperation opportunities by attracting local market experts through the cluster cooperation partners Gateway and EnRiga.
During the Aumenta project, in the 2021 autumn market research where done in Georgia. In it participated 5 Latvian companies: CatchSmart, Squalio, Engine Reader, Intelligent Systems and Garmtech. These companies as Latvian IT Cluster delegation at the beggining of April visited Georgia and had many important meetings and visits with Latvian Ambassador to Georgia Mrs. Ingrida Levrence, the Georgian IT Cluster, Enterprise Georgia and The Georgian Agency for Innovation and Technology.

A second trade mission to Uzbekistan has taken place at the end of April. Meetings were held with the Ambassador of Latvia to Uzbekistan Mr. Reinis Trokšs, the Deputy Mayor of Tashkent Mr. Aleksey Khen and the Minister of IT of Uzbekistan Mr. Sherzod Shermatov, who sees co-operation with Latvia and its companies as a window to Europe. The delegation also visited Uzbekistan IT Park, Bioeconomy Forum, and Assembly of Economy Uzbekistan. With very welcoming feeling everywhere, the delegation understood that Uzbekistan is open for new cooperation and willing to expand their borders with providing BPO (business process outsourcing) services. Together with Latvian IT Cluster 8 companies went on this trade mission.
