A total of 10 End-of-Degree Projects from the Faculties of Audiovisual Communication of the Universities of A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela were presented on Friday, December 18th, in front of companies in the sector, in the 4th edition of the Pitching TFG organized by the Galician Audiovisual Cluster.

The opening of this forum, held virtually with the support of Igape and with the collaboration of the General Secretariat for Language Policy and the Universities of A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, was led by the president of the Galician Audiovisual Cluster, Jorge Algora, who thanked the collaborators for their trust in the format and the authors for their effort to carry out audiovisual projects in the current social context. He also highlighted the importance of fostering meeting points between talent and the audiovisual industry, as is the case with the Pitching TFG.

Something in which the General Secretary for Language Policy, Valentín García, agreed, in charge of closing the day and announcing the winning projects of this edition. Thus, in his speech, the Secretary General valued this collaboration between audiovisuals and the University very positively, and encouraged creators to continue carrying out their projects despite the situation caused by the pandemic.

In this sense, Valentín García also revealed the confidence of the Galician Administration in the audiovisual sector, which "knew how to adapt to the circumstances" and referred to the Xacobeo 2021 Cultural Projects Fund, created by the Autonomous Administration to encourage the creation and the work of cultural companies during the Covid era.

The Pitching TFG seeks to value new audiovisual talent and connect it with the Galician business fabric. As in previous editions, those responsible for the projects had the opportunity to test their work with the sector and were able to know the evaluations of the producers regarding them.

In this edition, the academic entities selected a total of 10 Final Degree Projects from the Universities of A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela. The selected projects are in different stages of development, and among them were various film and television formats, as well as digital ones.
