CTA gathered today more than 100 researchers from Andalusian university groups and other public research organisations in a webinar, in which the CTA incentive programme for R&D agri-food projects was explained in detail.

The CTA incentive programme finances R&D and innovation business projects in collaboration with research groups included in the PAIDI (Andalusian Research, Development and Innovation Plan). Thus, the new knowledge and research results from universities and public centres are transferred to companies and transformed into new products and services that meet the demands of the market and the great challenges facing society, such as climate change, the aging of the population or the overpopulation of the planet.

The event was inaugurated by Fabián Varas, Chief Technology Officer at CTA; Rosa Gallardo, representative of the PAIDI groups in CTA and director of the ETSIAM of the University of Córdoba; and Enrique Quesada, General Coordinator of the ceiA3 and Vice Chancellor of the UCO. The CTA Agri-food Technical Officer, Nathalie Chavrier, explained the CTA incentive programme.

More than 359 different research groups from universities and other public research organisations have been subcontracted for 96 million euros in projects financed by CTA.
