Five new projects, presented by the AEICE cluster in collaboration with several of its partners, have been approved by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Regional Government of Castilla y León (Spain).  These new innovation projects have a total budget of more than 150,000 euros and will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of the companies and entities associated with the cluster.

These are initiatives designed to cover different objectives related to sustainable development, development of rural areas, business intelligence, eco-design and circular economy.

NetODS II

NetODS II, developed jointly with the Solutions for Independent Living cluster (SIVI), is aimed at analysing the feasibility and developing a service to support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Objectives in companies in the habitat and socio-health sectors.

Its predecessor, the NetODS project, was launched in 2019 with the aim of  both promoting the commitment to SDGs in companies in the habitat sector in Castilla y León and finding opportunities around them to contribute to the competitive improvement of the sector.  Given the needs identified, and with the perspective of further improving and transferring knowledge, NetODS II was born.

ERAES

The acronym ERAES (Sustainable Energy Rural Autonomous Space) refers to a rural territory or community, outside the influence of large population centres and their metropolitan areas, whose efficient use of endogenous resources and energy resources allows it to create an environment in which to strengthen its capacities.

The ERAES project emerges with the premise of identifying, prioritizing and energizing the rural areas of Castilla y León with potential for territorial development. In order to achieve this objective, it will be necessary to promote the sustainability of these spaces, enhancing the endogenous resources and taking advantage of the local renewable energies to turn them into sustainable autonomous spaces.

Besides AEICE, 1A Ingenieros, ITCL, Patrimonio Inteligente de Castilla y León, San Gregorio, CARTIF, ITACYL, FERROVIAL, COLLOSA, CICCP and the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos de Obras Públicas will be involved in its development.

LICITIA

LICITIA aims to improve the competitiveness of the construction sector through business intelligence. In this project, large data and business intelligence will be applied to create better business opportunities for companies and professionals in the construction industry. It will be developed by AEICE, Arpape, Blasgón, D-Todo, ITCL, San Gregorio and Peache, with the collaboration of Cámara de Contratistas de Castilla y León

EcoProduct4Contract

This project is oriented to the development of a guide for environmental certification of products for the habitat industry. It focuses on innovation through the introduction of the methodology for environmental product certification based on eco-design in companies in the housing and construction sector. It is therefore directly related to the development and application of concepts and criteria of the circular economy.

The consortium members are the Institute of Construction of Castilla y León (ICCL), Lino Alonso, Absotec and AEICE.

WASTE 4 CONTRACT

WASTE 4 CONTRACT aims at revaluing waste from the construction sector, using it to develop recycled materials.  The project focuses on the development of innovative materials using as input waste products from sectors such as construction and automotive, within the framework of the circular economy.

Specifically, this initiative has its basis and main technological innovation in the concept of wood-plastic. Currently, this type of material is applied in other uses, especially outdoors. Together with AEICE, Centro Tecnológico Miranda de Ebro (CTME), Lino Alonso and Absotec are participating.

These projects are an opportunity for AEICE's member SMEs to carry out innovative developments together with knowledge centres and other public and private organisations
