Thomas Röhr graduated in mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen/Germany before working at the Traffic Management departments first of the University of Kassel (Germany) and second of BMW Group in Berlin and Munich. In 2007 he moved to France where he first worked on projects in line with the European positioning system GALILEO and other mobility related topics. In 2011, he integrated ESTA School of Business & Technology, where he is currently Head of International Relations.

Since 2016, Thomas Röhr works for the French competitiveness cluster Pôle Véhicule du Futur (PVF), one of the leading French automotive clusters totaling about 400 members. As European Programmes Manger, Thomas Röhr represents PVF in European instances and is in charge of the development of European collaborative R&D projects. In 2016/17 he initiated the European Automotive Cluster Network (EACN) with 9 founding members of which 6 partners submitted the ESCP-S3 project ‘EACN for Joint Industrial Modernisation Investments’ that is currently co-funded by the COSME programme of the European Union.
