Nicolai is the founder and CEO of Quercus Group specializing in clustering, multi-stakeholder engagement and internationalisation. Since 2012 Nicolai and his team have worked with clusters and regional economic growth projects in 35 countries worldwide through offices in Copenhagen, New Delhi, Nairobi, and Singapore.
Prior to establishing Quercus Group Nicolai was the initiator, leader and driving force behind Copenhagen Cleantech Cluster (CCC), now CLEAN, the largest and fastest growing cluster initiative in Danish history. Nicolai also initiated the International Cleantech Network (ICN) – a partnership platform for leading international cleantech clusters across Asia, Afria, Europe and North America. Through this Nicolai is among the most knowledgeable and connected persons in Denmark when it comes to cluster development and cluster practices.
Today, through Quercus Group, Nicolai advises cluster organisations, city governments, ministries, business federations, NGOs, embassies and trade councils which has brought him international recognition as a strategic advisor, capacity builder and developer.
