Katherina Ulrich is an International Project Manager in the association of BalticNet-PlasmaTec since 2006. She is currently involved in 2 EU projects called BLUES (European Strategic Cluster Partnerships for Excellence – ESCP4x) and VIDA (H2020 INNOSUP 01 2017 two Stage). Based on her experiences of over 13 years in international project management, she was and is the project leader of several projects like COS CLUSTER 2014 3 03 (ESCP 4i), name: AdPack; COS CLUSTER 2015 3 02, name: INNO DROP; BLUES European Strategic Cluster Partnerships for Excellence – ESCP4x etc.

The main responsibility of Katherina is the daily cluster work (communication and networking with the cluster members, organisation of proposal writing with and for cluster members, organisation of own events/fairs, participation/delegation trips etc.) and the project work (project leader with all responsibilities, communication leader, responsible for the online cooperation platform –Clou5 etc.). Due to her experiences, she is a well-regarded person in many projects as she can take over a lot of different tasks like strategy building, international cooperation, internationalisation strategies and missions, internal and external communication and project leadership including finances.

During 2012-2014 Katherina was the Communication Officer at Interreg IVB Baltic Sea Region project called PlasTEP and PlasTEP +. Her duties have been the organisation of all local events including the final project event, communication between the partner and also the communication between the project and the broad public including stakeholder and policy makers.

From 2005 – 2006 Katherina worked as a Project Assistant at the Art Treasures Department of the Ernst Moritz Arndt University Greifswald. She was responsible for Marketing, image processing, organisation of guided tours, organisation of transport and installation of art treasures for the main building of the university (after renovation). She was working very closely together with the Chancellor of the University.

Katherina graduated in 2005 at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University Greifswald, Diploma (equiv. to M.Sc. Tourism and Regional Development) in Geography with the minor field of study in Psychology and Physical Education. Between 2003-2004 she studied at the Faculty of Business at the University of Technology, Sydney , Australia to conduct face to face interviews and to prepare her university thesis.

Katherina is German and speaks German (mother tongue) and English fluently and has basic knowledge of Russian and French.
