Mission, vision and objectives
Agriculture is facing the global challenge of feeding an increasing world population. Climate change, reduction of pesticides, sustainable use of resources are strongly impacting our sector and particularly the plant industry. To overcome these barriers, several plant clusters have decided to join their effort and to facilitate the linkage between innovative projects.
The Plant Inter Cluster Network has been existing for almost 10 years and has built a strong international network with clusters around multiple agricultural sectors (From seeds, machinery, others inputs…). Among them, 5 pillars are the priorities of our actions, defined in June 2020, as : Production, Equipment, Horticulture, Food, ICT for Agri-food. This international and sectorial network works thanks to a common vision and to the motivation of its stakeholders. Born in France with 3 agri/agro clusters, the coordination is still delegated to VEGEPOLYS VALLEY. Since 2019, 8 other European clusters have joined the steering committee.
