Description

Blockchain technology is still on everyone's lips - but is it of any use to SMEs? And can the advantages for the logistics industry, which have been described many times, really be exploited?

These and other questions will be answered by ten member companies and SMEs at the HANSEBLOC final event. Since the summer of 2018, companies and universities in Hamburg & Bremen have been conducting joint research into block-chain innovation potential for the SME logistics industry as part of the BMBF-funded "KMU-NetC" programme.

Representatives of the consortium will report on the results of the HANSEBLOC project at the event and will take a look at the following

  • Structure and function of the HANSEBLOC platform (IT system & connection to the block chain)
  • Transport Accounts, Smart Contracts and integration of sensor technology - especially for logistics requirements
  • Governance - How can the platform become an ecosystem?

In a panel moderated by Konstantin Graf (Chainstep), Christian Schultze-Wolters, Business Unit Manager IBM Blockchain Solutions DACH at IBM Deutschland GmbH, will discuss with representatives of the consortium on the topic "TradeLens and HANSEBLOC - How can medium-sized businesses benefit from the Blockchain?
