Description

This year, we will organise the CIC Event Series online, instead of our established annual CLIB International Conference in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The title “Biotechnology 2021: Advancing into a decade of sustainability” stresses the fact that 2021 is the first year in a decade which aims to see big advances in sustainability.

As part of the CIC2021 Event Series, we will highlight and discuss with you various aspects of this transformation towards more sustainability. For this purpose, we will host 3 digital sessions of about 3 hours each. The conference will discuss trends and developments for a sustainable future economy, based on biogenic, renewable, and recycled carbon. Based on the foundations built in the past decades, this sustainable economy can now be realised with new technological advancements, supporting regulations, and a change in our way of living. The conference will shed light on the role of biotechnology in this bigger picture.

On 11 March 2021, the first part of the CIC2021 Event Series will cover the food market (with a focus on functional ingredients), that have a strong impact on our daily life and also the economy as a whole.

The other events in this series:

14.04.2021: CIC2021 Event Series Part II - Empowering C1-utilisation

27.05.2021: CIC2021 Event Series Part III - How to advance lignin to scale

29.06.2021: CIC Event Series Part IV - final, full-day hybrid event.

The CIC has established itself during the past years as a platform to initiate partnerships along value chains in the bio- and circular economy. Come join us digitally in 2021!
