Third EU KETs4Dual-Use regional outreach workshop - Herning, Denmark

Third regional outreach workshop of KETs4Dual-Use project, hosted by CenSec, took place on 7 May 2019 in the framework of Electronics of Tomorrow trade-fair in Herning.

During a guided tour by Danish colleagues Poul-Erik Hansen and Anders Laustsen, the consortium partners had a chance to discover a vibrant ecosystem active in the field of dual-use.

Start-ups with innovative solutions for cyber-security (SecuriOT) and drone sectors, SME leader in the field of small sats Gomspace, mid-caps specialists in connectivity ODU and Hubner+Suhner and academia actors managing technology transfer Danish National Space Institute and Danish Technological Institute have shared their experience with dual-use activities and discussed the challenges of entering international markets.

The challenges identified and lessons learned will be incorporated in the future activities of the project, notably when preparing the fact-finding missions to the 4 target countries - the USA, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore - taking place in the second half of 2019 and in the beginning of 2020.
