The official presentation of the Pick & Pack has revealed the innovations that will be announced from the 12th to the 14th of February, at the CCIB in Barcelona, in processes, manufacturing, printing and the entire supply chain for different industries

Pick&Pack, the boutique innovation event for professionals seeking solutions in packaging and intralogistics that will take place from the 12th to the 14th of February at the CCIB, was presented this morning in Barcelona to publicize the details of its first edition. “Pick & Pack was born with the vocation of helping to transform and develop the business of picking and packaging through a space of technological transfer and innovation“, said the CEO of NebextAlberto Planas.

Pick&Pack becomes the meeting point for all professionals in industries as diverse as food, cosmetics and beauty, retail, chemistry and pharmacy, automotive, electronics, industrial goods, beverages, logistics and non-food services seeking more efficient solutions , innovative and sustainable for your management area. “Pick & Pack is an event for the industry,” said Marina Uceda, Event Manager of Pick & Pack.

The event will bring together more than 7,000 professionals and more than 150 exhibitors that will present the latest trends in packaging, new materials, automatable processes, industrial robotics and intralogistics 4.0. National Packaging Congress 4.0: Technology and sustainability

Pick&Pack celebrates two revolutionary forums such as: the National Packaging Congress 4.0 and the European Intralogistics Summit 2020. Two simultaneous congresses that will gather more than 180 international experts for three days. The steps and guidelines to meet the current challenges will be defined in the National Packaging Congress 4.0, co-organized with the Packaging Cluster, such as: intelligent packaging, sustainable packaging, new production processes or technologies such as 3D printing or Smart printing. In the words of Àlex Brossa, Cluster Manager of the Packaging Cluster and director of the National Packaging Congress 4.0, “this is the most important packaging congress that has been held in the city in the last 8 years”.

A congress that will focus on five main blocks: retail, food and beverages, industrial goods, e-commerce and cosmetics, but always with a clear focus on technology and sustainability as transversal axes. “Catalonia has 750 companies in the packaging sector, with a turnover that represents 3.4% of GDP”, has pointed Brossa. The keys to business profitability, at the European Intralogistics Summit 2020

For its part, the European Intralogistics Summit 2020 will announce the keys to transform manual warehouses to fully automated distribution centers through tools such as logistic digitization, collaborative robotics, IoT, cross-docking or artificial intelligence. “The client, people and sustainability are key in business strategy. If we do all this well, the company will be profitable”, notes August Casanovas. Therefore, the European Intralogistics Summit 2020 will focus its three-day agenda around these three factors. This, from the hand of international experts of the highest level, of which 40% are women. Inspiration for the era of the new digital economy

To bring innovation to the final customer with real cases and applications of different solutions, Pick & Pack will have a Demo Area, a co-organized space with Global Lean where the technology applied to the entire supply chain will be shown live, which includes both packaging and intralogistics “In Pick & Pack we believe that it is very important to value the entire supply chain, so the process and route that has been followed since an order is placed through an e-commerce and delivered, and even the return process with reverse logistics”, explains Uceda.

Pick&Pack will also feature different networking events to find partners, establish synergies and create alliances. Among them, are the Leadership Summit, a lunch with the industry leaders and stakeholders and that will feature an inspiring keynote of Genís Roca to share the trends of the future in the era of the digital economy. In addition, the Smart Logistics & Packaging Awards 2020, that recognize companies in the sector that are committed to innovation to achieve more sustainable packaging and improve manufacturing processes throughout the supply chain. The event, in its vocation to surprise professionals, also organizes the Packaging Startup Forum, a day that “aims to give voice to startups to present their innovative projects,” says Uceda.
