National clusters turn to fight coronavirus

The National Federation of Innovative Business Groups and Clusters (Clusters.es), of which CEAGA holds the vice-presidency, is turning into the battle to stop the spread of Covid-19. To do this, it is mobilizing companies and coordinating their resources to make them available to the Administration.

The Federation has launched, through its website, a map of industrial resources so that all those companies that want to offer their help indicate the resources they can contribute. Through this platform, it is intended to coordinate the demand and supply of available resources to manufacture sanitary material or personal protective equipment, as well as manage its certification by the corresponding state agency. It is about joining forces to coordinate a more effective and quick response to the real needs that emanate from the health crisis.

In addition to launching this platform, the Federation regularly maintains contact with representatives of the European Commission to analyze the scenario of the crisis, as well as exposing the key points of the situation and looking for ways of collaboration to help each other. In this context, last week a videoconference was held with the President of the European Commission, Úrsula von der Leyen, in which CEAGA President Juan Antonio Lloves defended the role of clusters in solving the crisis.

To share information of interest between the different clusters and companies, a follow-up group has been created on LinkedIn called “Clusters vs coronavirus”, where they also work to expand cooperation with other networks at the international level to continue collaborating and helping in the fight against the Covid-19.
