CEAGA, together with the naval (Aclunaga), TIC and food (Clusaga) clusters have established the "Association for the Digitization of the Industry of Galicia", which represents the starting point to launch the Galician Digital Innovation Hub Industrial, supported by the Galician Government in the framework of the Galician Strategy of Hubs. This new entity was born with a clear integrative and transversal vocation to promote collaboration, innovation and digital transformation of the entire Galician industry.

The proposal led by CEAGA, which was selected by the Xunta de Galicia as one of the two best and considered strategic for the Community, had the support of 69 entities in the Galician industrial ecosystem and 56 national and regional letters of support.

In this context, in December 2019, the signing of the agreement took place in Santiago de Compostela with which the Xunta de Galicia will support with 200,000 euros the start-up and first steps of the Digital Innovation Hub Industrial de Galicia.

Currently, the Industrial Hub of Galicia directly groups 450 companies and entities, which employ about 52,000 people, with a joint turnover of 19,180 million euros, equivalent to 30% of Galician GDP. Among the companies that support this initiative, large entities such as: Altia, Astilleros Freire, Conservas Calvo, GKN Driveline Vigo, Groupe PSA, Jealsa Rianxeira, Navantia, Nueva Pescanova, R, etc. stand out.

A Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) is a regional structure that supports companies in their digital transformation processes, helping them to understand what they are, how they affect them and how they can access digital technologies and how to finance and boost investments necessary to address the digital transformation.
