As India is the first selected FoodPackLab territory for potential collaborations with third countries, we would like to share this Practical Guide to the Market in India for European Agri-food Products and Products with Geographical Indications.

This document has been prepared for the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (Chafea) acting under the mandate from the European Commission. The Handbook is intended to be a reference document for those agri-food producers who are planning to enter, or are in the process of entering, the Indian market. This Handbook provides step-by-step guide on entering the agri-food market in India, including relevant information such as analysis of the Indian market for different product categories, market access and market entry procedures, intellectual property (IP) protection, referrals to professional buyers and a signposting and referral system providing useful contacts and ways to penetrate the Indian market.
