ALPHA-RLH participated to the European Commission Event: EDIH Gearing up on the 26th January 2021 in a session moderated by Géraldine Andrieux(BLUMORPHO) in order to raise awareness of the audience on the need for a strong innovation ecosystem to “cross the chasm” and to link the EDIHs ecosystem with the VCs European hubs. Private investors are key to support innovative companies in Europe and to keep our leadership in deep technologies worldwide. One of the roles of the European EDIH network is to enable interesting companies to emerge and to get a facilitated access to funding and of course to European VCs hubs. Hervé Floch, CEO of ALPHA RLH, has shared his experience with INPHO Venture Summit since 2006. First focused mainly on Photonics as Invest in Photonics, INPHO Venture Summit has evolved to cover deep tech, to highlight companies providing technology with high differentiation and addressing bankable challenges as defined by private investors.  With the support of BLUMORPHO and CEA and Region Nouvelle Aquitaine, INPHO has become the Rendez-Vous of International deep tech private investors since then. INPHO gathers an Editorial Committee of Private investors supporting the event preparation and organization. As you know, one of the main challenge for high growth potential companies is to find the right investor and it is not always the investors who are active locally. That's the reason why it's important having such Pan European and International initiatives to support deep tech companies. Access to funding is not a challenge only at seed level, it is important to consider the growth of the company from seed to Series C, D….These Pan European Collaborations and access to VC European hubs contribute to the European Single Market dynanism and competitiveness. This dimension is of strategic importance in each EDIH.
