CEAGA is working on the development of a new commercial support tool for all the Galician automotive suppliers, although with special attention to SMEs, which are the ones that present the most difficulties when promoting its activity to potential customers, especially in international markets.

The project consists on the design and development of a demonstration vehicle in augmented reality, which allows to show the productive and technological capacities of Galician companies, both those belonging to the main value chain and those of the auxiliary industry.

Augmented reality is a technology that enriches the real world with digital information. Its multiple applications in the industrial field position it as one of the main strategic technological trends of the moment and for the next years.

One of the main reasons why the Cluster has opted for this totally innovative solution is that it responds to the problem of the commercial tools used until now. As its virtual and non-physical pieces, the advantages in terms of flexibility are enormous, avoiding problems of space and transfer costs.

It is expected that the new tool is ready in the first half of 2018 and will be available to companies to use in their commercial presentations, being able to access it from the website of CEAGA, as well as in app format from any smartphone or tablet.

To ensure that it meets the expectations of Galician automotive suppliers, a working group of Cluster companies has been created, which will monitor and validate the progress of the project always.

The initiative is subsidized by Igape, through the Galicia Exporta Organismos Intermedios 2017 Program, an operation co-financed by the Fondo Europeo de Desenvolvemento Rexional Programa Operativo FEDER Galicia 2014-2020 Plan Foexga 2017-2018.
