ALLIANCE PROJECT: GOOD PRACTICE HANDBOOK

Submitted by Sonia Descoins on 05 August 2019

The ALLIANCE project gathers in a consortium 7 European clusters from France, Italy and Netherland which covers all the pertinent aspects of the Defence and Security markets.

The objective of ALLIANCE is to build conditions for the sustainable internationalization of European SMEs in the defence and security markets through dual use concepts in three target countries: USA, Japan and South Korea. The project aims also to intensify collaboration between European defence and security clusters on advanced materials, notably technical textiles, and connectivity to develop joint strategies in areas of dual use technologies, products and services towards non-EU countries.

In the first phase of the ALLIANCE project, the partnership has prepared a “Good practice Handbook”.

This is the result of a cycle of exchanges, between ALLIANCE partners to strengthen the knowledge and share the competences of Defence & Security and advanced textile sectors. The handbook constitutes an instrument for the generation of ideas, cooperation opportunities, initiatives to accomplish the goal of creating cross-fertilization among project partners.

It includes a synthesis of 20 GPs gathered as well as a detailed description of the best 7 GPs selected by the consortium.
