The Horizon 2020 INNOSUP-1 GALACTICA project has announced its first Hackathon - with €50,000 in prizes to be won.
GALACTICA aims to support the creation of new industrial value chains around textile and aerospace sectors based on advanced manufacturing.
The hackathon is open to start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as to university students based in the European Union or United Kingdom.
GALACTICA seeks innovative solutions to combine the aerospace and textile sectors with advanced manufacturing is expected, in order to re-shape value chains and business models, fomenting cross-sectoral and cross-border partnerships.
Teams of between three and five people are encouraged to apply for this initiative. Individuals who wish to participate can also apply and will be assisted in forming a team.
The hackathon will take place in two rounds, firstly an online virtual challenge on open innovation from 9-25 February 2021 followed by a second round on 18 and 19 March for the selected finalists.
